Position Name: Industrial Skills Trainer-II

Job Description:

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Instructs Saudi Arab employees and apprentices (trainees) in classrooms, shops and at jobsites.

SCOPE:

Responsible for instructing trainees in skills, techniques, methods and procedures in one of the following areas: maintenance, operations, technical crafts, services, safety, driving, drafting, laboratory, construction, heavy equipment, security, etc.

The trainer will instruct basic level courses and portions of intermediate/advanced courses in the specified area in which he is qualified.

PRINCIPAL CONTACTS:

External: Frequently with line supervisors and training coordinators to discuss program contents and trainee progress.

Internal: Frequently with instructors, trainers and supervisors regarding progress reports, methods, programs, etc. Frequently with PD&E analysts to discuss curriculum and training aids

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

Instructs trainees in plant primary and auxiliary systems.
Obtains training material, supplies, A/V equipment, tools and training aids needed to conduct classes.
Prepares personalized lesson plans from approved course control documents (POIs).
Adopts and/or constructs training aids.
Administers, proctors and grades written and performance tests.
Observes, counsels and evaluates trainees.
Prepares trainee records, such as attendance, grade & progress sheets.
Maintains discipline, safety and housekeeping standards at his assigned classroom, shop or work site.
Develops performance-based tests.
Recommends administrative actions for trainees.
Coordinates on-site training activities with plant personnel.
Performs other training & training related duties assigned by Supervisor.
Makes recommendations on and assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum and training aids.
Serves as a mentor for Saudi Arab Industrial Skills Instructors I and II.
Selects and arranges for field trips for trainees.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial / Vocational Education or in some cases Engineering / Science, plus two (2) years industrial / apprentice / OJT training experience in the skill area to be taught.

Completion of the Aramco Job Skills Trainer Certification.
